I was reading an article a few days ago that said sterling silver jewelry is the next gold.   At first I wondered what on earth they were talking about, since obviously gold is much more expensive to buy than sterling silver jewelry, but after reading the article, I understood what they were trying to say.   For years it seemed like everywhere you looked gold jewelry was the trend, but in the past few years it seems as though the trend has switched and people are wearing more and more sterling silver.    When you consider the prices and selection of sterling silver jewelry that you can find online, it’s no mystery in my eyes that it has become so wildly popular.    I’ve even been buying pieces of sterling silver jewelry that also features gold, so that I can mix and match my pieces together.   There was once a time when you wore either gold or sterling silver, but those days are over.  My closet is filled with both, and being able to wear the two together just adds a little something extra to the look I’m creating.  These days, anything goes, and I’m glad.
