This morning I spent some time looking for a silver charm that will remind my daughter of how much I love her and also how if she believes in herself she can accomplish anything she tries. She’s at a difficult age when it seems like the most important things in life are boys and her friends.  Being accepted is something that I think we all want in our lives.  I remember that age myself and how difficult it was. Last year we gave her a bracelet and on special occasions I try to find a silver charm fitting of that particular moment. We gave her an airplane charm for Christmas since she was flying for the first time in her life, and a birthday cake silver charm when her birthday rolled around. 

It took me a while, but after browsing through each and every silver charm, I finally decided on a simple heart and ordered it.  When it arrives I’ll present it to her, along with a letter that explains why I’m giving her the charm and how I believe in her and that it’s important she believes in herself.  I hope she’ll like it.
